Baptist is a term describing individuals belonging to a Baptist
church or a Baptist Protestant denomination: our Faith in God's; promise in His HOLY SCRIPTURE
of Salvation. The Law's of God are to be obeyed to the letter.
Judgement awaits all who break them. Jesus spoke these words of
comfort: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28. There is Judgement to come for mankind, Seeking Jesus'
promise of perfect rest through His Death, Burial and Resurrection, by
shedding His (life's) blood on the cross, at the Jewish Passover.
The judgement passes by when the Angel of death came by, see the Old
Testament: Exodus 11 and Exodus 12 (Christ being the first born of God)
Passover.
If you want to start now, get to know the Son of Man
by reading John's Gospel, the 4th book in the New Testament. Jesus was crucified Calvary's mount. He took upon Himself the judgement for the sins of Adam's race. It is
where sins are washed away, through Jesus' precious blood. By seeking
and searching your own heart, where sin has had its way for so long. By
searching the Scriptures and by Repentance. These word's from Heaven
come "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one
sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons,
which need no repentance." Luke 15:7.
Anyone who makes a serious and substantial contribution to the
understanding of the New Testament, renders a public service, for if
religion is the foundation of morality, by the knowledge of God is the
welfare of the people. As a book the New Testament stands alone and
supreme, simple in its profoundness, and profound in its simplicity.
"Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:19 KJV.
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 KJV.
"There never was a man in the world without a creed.
What is a creed? A creed is what you believe. What is a confession? It
is a declaration of what you believe. That declaration may be oral or
it may be committed to writing, but the creed is there either expressed
or implied." - B. H. Carroll.
Born at Devizes, Wiltshire, early in 1634, Joseph Alleine loved and
served the Lord from childhood. A contemporary witness identified 1645
as the year of Alleine’s “setting forth in the Christian race.” From
eleven years of age onward, “the whole course of his youth was an
even-spun thread of godly conversation.” When his elder brother Edward....read more.
The devil has made many counterfeits of conversion, and cheats one with
this, and another with that. He has such craft and artifice in his
mystery of deceits that, if it were possible, he would deceive the very
elect. Now, that I may cure the ruinous mistake of some who think they
are converted when they are not, as well as remove the troubles and
fears of others who think they are not converted when they are, I shall
show you the nature of conversion, both what it is not, and what it is.
We will begin with the negative. What conversion is NOT.....read more.
What was it that started the Protestant Reformation? Well it started
out with a monk who seeked reformation within the Roman Catholic
Church, that monk's name was Martyn Luther. He nailed on the door of
the Church - read on:"Ninety-Five Theses."

Charles SpurgeonA sinner can no more repent and believe without the Holy Spirit's aid than he can create a world.

A good character is the best......tombstone. Those who loved you and were
helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered.
Carve your name on hearts, not on marble." - Charles Spurgeon

I BELIEVE in GOD the FATHER ALMIGHTY, Maker of heaven and earth: And in
JESUS CHRIST his only begotten SON, our LORD; who was conceived by the
HOLY SPIRIT, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day
he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits on the
right hand of GOD the FATHER ALMIGHTY; from there he shall come to
judge the quick and the dead.
I
believe in the HOLY SPIRIT; the holy catholic church; the communion of
saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the
life everlasting. Amen
The Holy Scriptures is a collection of books that are Metaphors, Similes, Symbols, Types, Parables, Allegories, and Emblems.
Metaphors: is a figure of speech, in which one object is made to
stand for another. (When we say Christ is led like a lamb to the
slaughter, it is a simile; but when He is called "The Lamb of God," it
is a metaphor).
A simile is figurative language descriptive of one object in its
likeness to another: "As cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news
from a far country" (Proverbs 25:25), is a simile. A symbol is
something which stands for something else, thus in Christendom the
cross is a symbol of Christ's suffering, the hand is a symbol of God's
power, and the Dove the symbol of the H
OLY SPIRIT. A type
is a object which is used to prefigure another object, thus the lifting
up of the brazen servant in the wilderness was a type of Christ's death
on the cross, (John 3:14). A parable is a truth illustrated by
fact, as the girl said, "It is an earthly story with a heavenly
meaning," like the seven parables of (Matthew 13). An allegory is
a story which represents a fact, or illustrates a thing in a
parabolical language, as Jotham's story of the trees did the action of
Abimelech, (Judges 9:1-21); and an emblem is a figurative
representation of anything, such as the sceptre is an emblem of
sovereign power.
