Could you read the Gospel of Luke in under two minutes? Probably not, but you can see the main themes flow before your eyes. In STEPbible you can use the 'Analysis' tab to see a word cloud created from any chapter. Then by clicking 'Animate' you can see the whole book as a word stream. Try it out for yourself.

Tyndale Tech: Accordance for Windows & Hebrew tools

Accordance is my favourite Bible software for Hebrew and Aramaic, because it has more tagged texts in the area of Targums, Rabbinic & Qumran texts than others. It is also beautiful, fast, and easy to use. And now that there is a native Windows version, there is no need to struggle with the limitations of Hebrew in Mac's crippled version of Word. This co-incides with other significant news for those who want to study the Bible in Hebrew more easily.

Accordance for Windows

As well as the best Hebrew & Aramaic texts, it also has most of the other texts and tools found in other Bible software. Combining this with a gorgeous interface makes it a joy to use. It works well in Windows, when you get used to its idiosyncratic ways. See the full review.

TanakHML visualises Hebrew structure

One of the best tools for understanding the Hebrew Bible has been resurrected. The author kindly let the code become public when I told him how much his site was missed.

This graphic representation of each verse makes the complexities of cantillation structure easily understandable. There is no better way to appreciate how the Masoretes made their Bible almost completely unambiguous.

Share your Hebrew expertise

OpenScriptures.org is producing a free morphologically tagged  Hebrew Bible. Many software projects already benefit from their work - especially our own www.StepBible.org - so I'd love to see this succeed. They need Hebrew experts to help tag the text, so if you love Hebrew, sign up at hb.openscriptures.org/OshbParse/

Don't feel left out if you have other skills - StepBible needs people with skills in Greek and in English communication - email me and tell us what you like doing.

All the best
