Chapter 12. "Of Adoption."

  1. All those that are justified, God vouchsafed, in, and for the sake of his only Son Jesus Christ, to make partakers of the Grace [1] of Adoption; by which they are taken into the number, and enjoy the Liberties, and [2] Privileges of Children of God; have his [3] name put upon them, [4] receive the Spirit of Adoption, [5] have access to the throne of Grace with boldness, are enabled to cry Abba, Father, are [6] pitied, [7] protected, [8] provided for, and [9] chastened by him, as by a Father; yet never [10] cast off; but sealed [11] to the day of Redemption, and inherit the promises, [12] as heirs, of everlasting Salvation.
