GOD IS LOVE

Jesus Said, —

“YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN,” — John 3:7

WHY? “Except a man be born again he cannot SEE (or ENTER) the kingdom of God” — John 3:3, 5.

READER — THINK!!!

Have you been born of God? Have you Divine life in your soul? Does the Holy Spirit dwell within you? — THINK! You may be moral, amiable, religious, but “YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN”. You may be honest, respectable, sincere, but you must be born from above. You may be a member of a Church, a regular worshipper within its walls; a communicant at its sacraments, an office-bearer in its service, and after all go down to hell unregenerated. You may say your prayers, read your Bible, pay your pew, contribute your money, and be shut out of heaven at last. It is not religion, it is not morality, it is not reformation that fits a soul for heaven — it is REGENERATION — the NEW BIRTH of JOHN 3. Reader — Have you been born again?

READER — THINK!!!

Has there been a YEAR, a MONTH, a DAY, a MOMENT, in your history, in which you “PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE”! consider! reflect! Have you a second birthday every year — the anniversary of the new birth? If you have it will be witnessed to you, witnessed of by God — His Spirit dwelling in you, and it will be seen by others.

TEST YOURSELF AND SEE — BE NO LONGER DECEIVED.

The counterfeits of Satan are abroad. Spurious Christianity abounds. A Christless religion is fashionable. A name to live but dead in sin. A form of godliness without Christ. READER; see to it, you are not ensnared in this. You may live in peace; your soul may be lifeless, Christless, unregenerated, unfit for Heaven. Drugged by Satan; rocked in his cradle. Your life may be pleasant, until the hour of death you waken up to find that you have been deceived and decoyed to the gates of hell by means of a form of Godliness, a religion without Christ. FRIEND — “One thing thou lackest”

“YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.” — John 3:7.

WHEN can ye be born again? Nicodemus in John 3 “CAME TO JESUS”!!! coming to Jesus is REPENTANCE — Have you repented towards God?

READER — THINK!!!

Hast thou not heard of the necessity of coming to Christ, and of Christ’s willingness to receive thee? Put to thyself now this serious inquiry ie HAVE I INDEED COME TO JESUS CHRIST? Have I really, FULLY REPENTED towards God, by the convicting work of the Holy Spirit? You need to fully come to Christ, before He will receive you. Perhaps you say “I hope I have come”, — therefore lest thou deceivest thyself — consider 3 points.

1.           WHAT HAST THOU COME AWAY FROM? Hast thou left thy darling sins, thy vain pleasures and companions, thy pride and love of the world, thine own self righteousness and self pleasing? Take heed. If these things be still in thy heart and life, why imagine that thou art yet come to Jesus Christ.

2.           WHAT MOVED THEE TO COME? Men do not usually come or go, without cause to do so. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and are therefore under the WRATH OF GOD, and are warned to flee from it. unto Christ. yet alas! alas! but few flee. And WHY? Because they don’t believe their true condition before God — neither what God says in his word about it. Hast thou FELT thy need of Christ? to flee from the wrath to come? Hast thou FELT hungry for the bread of life? — thirsty for the water of life? — guilty for the forgiveness of sins? — perishing for the salvation of God? If thou hast not been moved by the Holy Spirit in accordance with God’s word — THOU HAST STILL NOT COME!

3.           WHAT ATTRACTED THEE TO COME? What comeliness and beauty hast thou seen in Him? Is He to thee lovelier than 10,000? What hast thou found in Him? He that cometh finds REST for HIS SOUL. Hast thou found rest? He that cometh finds peace, joy, salvation, reconciliation, justification, redemption, forgiveness, regeneration, etc. Jesus said, “No man can come to me, except the Father whit hath sent me DRAW HIM”. Hast thou been drawn by God. Jesus said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, WILL DRAW all men unto Me.” Has Jesus DRAWN YOU? or Have you still to come?

HOW can a man be born again? Jesus said, “I TELL YOU THE II TRUTH” — John 8:45. The knowledge of this comes through believing what God has said in His word concerning His own Son, whose name is the WORD OF GOD — Revelation 19. Therefore like Abraham we BELIEVE GOD — Romans 4:3 when we have fully repented and have come to Jesus, believing whole heartedly ALL the word of God. REGENERATION is a divine work of the Holy Trinity i.e. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. — It is:

1. Of GOD for it is written “As many as received Him, (CHRIST CRUCIFIED) to then gave He power (authority) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name” — BORN OF GOD. — John 1:12-13.
2. Through the LORD JESUS CHRIST — for it is written — “He shall. see the TRAVAIL of His’ soul. and shall be satisfied” — Isaiah 53:11. “Being born again. not of corruptible seed. but of the incorruptible, by the WORD OF GOD” — 1 Peter 1:23. “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness. even so must the SON OF MAN be lifted up, (CHRIST CRUCIFIED) that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH in Him should not perish, but have ETERNAL LIFE.” — John 3:14.
3. By the HOLY SPIRIT — for it is written, BORN OF THE SPIRIT.” — John 3:6-8.

Therefore READER — THINK!!!

This new birth, this Divine life, may be yours. Christ died to procure it for you. He lived to impart it to you. “He that hath the Son hath life.” This is how it is obtained.

“REPENT YE and BELIEVE THE GOSPEL” — Mark 1:15

— “GO AND SIN NO MORE” — John 8:11; and the evidence will be manifested in your ways, and life.

READER — TEST YOURSELF! search yourself before God. Shun not the light. Heaven and Hell are in the balances which are eternal. Remember! it was Jesus who said —

“YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.” John 3.

“UNDERSTANDEST THOU WHAT THOU READEST” (Acts 8 v 30)

1. “Everyone that doeth RIGHTEOUSNESS is born of Him.” — 1 John 2:29.
2. “Whosoever is born of God doth not COMMIT SIN.” — 1 John 3:9.
3. “Everyone that loveth (one another) is born of God.” — 1 John 4:7.

“Whosoever believeth that JESUS is the CHRIST is born of God…overcometh the world.” — 1 John 5:1-4).
