Behold the Lamb of God!

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said,
"Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! - John 1:29
And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God!" John 1:36

In the first instance, John draws our thoughts to the work of Christ "who takes away the sin of the world!". The second time, he calls on us to simply "Behold the Lamb of God!" this time pointing to His worth. Behold Him, adore Him, delight in His Person! Is there a better way to occupy our time and attention?

Gazing on it we adore Thee,
Blessed, precious, holy Lord;
Thou, the Lamb, art ever worthy,
This be earth's and heaven's accord.
